Street Fighter 6’s first post-launch roster addition is finally here, as Rashid Of The Turbulent Wind is now available to all players with a Year 1 Character Card. His debut isn’t without controversy, though, as he seems to completely overwhelm the rest of the field with a single move.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Rashid debuted in Street Fighter V, where he was part of the game’s launch roster. His arsenal includes a variety of attacks using the power of the wind, including the ability to fly over the wind for quick attacks and create tornadoes as projectiles.
However, it seems that one of his super attacks, Ysaar, is working better than anticipated, even against Capcom. As seen in the video tweeted by longtime fighting game expert Justin Wong above, the giant tornado created by Rashid never goes away, which means that the player performing the move can take away their opponent’s health until they are knocked down.
Capcom has acknowledged the issue, with its official Street Fighter social media accounts post a statement. “We are aware of the issue with Rashid related to Ysaar being on screen for an extended period of time and are investigating,” the post read. No patch or hotfix information has been announced as of this writing.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. The Year 1 Character Card also includes the new AKI, as well as returning fighters Ed and Akuma, and it is available now both separately and as part of the SF6 Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
